Why use JRS Consultants?

Basically, we have a tried-and-tested approach that works. Our approach is very hands-on. We work with you to develop procedures that work effectively and efficiently. Our systems are battle-tested via hundreds of successful Lexcel audits.

Our philosophy is always to keep the documentation and procedures as simple as possible. We also seek to build, wherever possible, on what a firm already does rather than super-imposing unwieldy procedures on to you. In our experience, this not only makes the administration simpler but also assists in achieving compliance from all members of the organisation.

Importantly our Lexcel systems aren’t just designed to address Lexcel. They encompass all your compliance needs including SRA Codes of Conduct, COLP/COFA procedures, UK GDPR, CQS, AML and a host of other requirements.

All our Consultants are Accredited Lexcel Consultants. This requires ongoing training to ensure that our consultants maintain their knowledge of the Lexcel standard and bext practise.

The process

A typical Lexcel project comprises the following steps:

  • Meet with you and your team to establish your current procedures
  • Identify how closely you meet Lexcel standard and develop new systems, policies and procedures
  • Develop a comprehensive quality procedures manual and associated documents
  • Review and update your client care information
  • Develop a suite of standard forms
  • Establish central Lexcel registers
  • Deliver staff training on Lexcel compliance
  • Conduct a mock audit and annual quality review meeting
  • Support you through the Lexcel Assessment

Costs

Our costs will depend on the size and complexity of your firm. Please note that you will need to factor in the costs of Initial Assessment by an accredited assessment body along with the Law Society application fee.

Alternatively, you might wish to sign up to one of our popular Retainer Services. This allows us to roll up the Lexcel project as part of a wider compliance partnership.
