GDPR and data protection
With an increasingly complex data protection landscape, JRS Consultants can help law firms maintain their compliance
Data protection is a subject that keeps compliance officers awake at night. With millions of pieces of personal data floating around law firms it is so easy to end up in breach of data protection regulations. We can help you to effectively manage that risk.

Keeping clients GDPR-compliant
Since the introduction of the UK GDPR in 2018, we have acquired extensive knowledge and experience of the requirements. In fact, our Retainer Service clients rely on us to keep them GDPR-compliant. We do this through our constantly updated quality systems that we maintain for our clients. Our Manuals, for example, have been designed to meet all data protection regulations.
We are also happy to conduct full reviews of your firm's data compliance for specific projects and provide you with all the tools you will need to comply.

Training
We have delivered a large number of training sessions to firms on data protection and cyber security compliance. These can be delivered on site or via webinar.
Our GDPR/Cyber training sessions are very popular and deal with real-world law firm situations rather than the theoretical.
Those clients of ours on a Retainer Service benefit from the provision of our update training on an as-required basis.

Ad hoc GDPR support
We receive a huge amount of queries from our clients about breach reporting. Often our clients are seeking advice how to report these internally and externally. Subject action requests are another regular topic and a minefield for the uninitiated.
Another common topic for our advice is how and when to prepare a data protection impact assessment. We have prepared a number of these for clients for example when seeking to implement a new case management system.

Expertise
Our GDPR expertise has been gained over many years. Having prepared hundreds of Office Manuals, we know what good looks like in GDPR terms. From Asset Registers to breach reporting we have expertise in all aspects of data protection in the legal sphere.
We have also been involved in major GDPR projects where firms have needed to respond to detailed inspections by the Information Commissioner.
