Experience prior to JRS
Before joining JRS Andy worked for over 12 years within a number of highly prominent law firms within the West Yorkshire area. He was one of the first Police Station Accredited Representatives and managed a number of high-profile Crown Court departments.
JRS experience
Andy has a full, in-depth knowledge of all areas for which JRS provide assistance. He is an accredited Lexcel Consultant and with the assistance of Dean Grindle set up our initial Lexcel systems and platforms which were migrated across from the JRS SQM platforms. Andy is very experienced in both SQM and LAA contract compliance and has steered a huge number of firms through to successful accreditation for both SQM and Lexcel including a major corporation in Dubai.
Andy is also an expert in SRA compliance and how firms’ compliance officers can best meet the SRA codes of conduct. Over the years, he has acquired a huge amount of knowledge about AML and Sanctions regulations and has successfully assisted large numbers of our clients through intensive SRA audits. Andy also delivers extensive training to clients on all aspects of compliance from GDPR through to AML and COLP/COFA compliance.
He has also successfully assisted a large number of firms in relation to LAA contract tendering.
Outside of JRS
Andy is a keen golfer although his handicap wouldn’t reflect this. He loves music and plays the piano reliving his younger band days along with regular trips to the theatre. In a past life he has also been known to tread the boards himself.
